ResearchDiverse areas of biomedical researchWe are a vibrant group of scientists and physicians doing clinical and basic research to understand basic biological mechanisms and disease-causing processes. Our research programs span basic biomedical to clinical research in the areas of cancer, cardiovascular disease, endocrinology, genetics, neurosciences, and pharmacology; and includes clinical and basic research projects. Publications
EthicsAll research performed in our department involving the use of humans or animals is undertaken with approval from the Austin Health Human Research Ethics and Animal Research Ethics Committees. Seminars / EventsThe Department of Medicine (AH/NH) runs the Austin Doyle Research Seminar Program, a weekly seminar series at 12 pm on Tuesdays in the Education Precinct Lecture Theatre (Austin Tower Level 4). Light refreshments are provided after the seminar. A Continuing Education Program of lectures and seminars is run for the BSc(Hons) students, and all other students and staff are welcome to attend. |
